Jóhannes S. Kjarval
Jóhannes S. Kjarval was without doubt one of the best painters
in Iceland in the 20th century. He was born in the year 1885 and he died
in the year 1972.
Two books with his arts have been published in Iceland.
The Icelandic government did build a gallery for him
and also
a museum to host his work, "Kjarvalsstaðir" in Reykjavík
