He graduated as a physicist from Brandeis University in Massachusetts U.S.A. He supervised new technology investigation at the Sony Corparation, 1986. He was a director at the Sony's for seven years. He has also been a member in several companies management. He has written several books and also some articles in science magasins. His book "Fyrirgefning syndanna" (The forgiveness of the sins) was appointed to the Icelandic litterary award in 1992. His novel "Absolution" was published in English in 1994, and "The Journey Home" appeared in 2000.
